چکیده

Aim . Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) have been postulated as potential indicators of cardiovascular risk. The objective this study was to explore the relationship between plasma BCAAs and different stages disorders. Material methods In our cross-sectional study, (valine, leucine isoleucine) in individuals without diseases (CVDs) (nonCVD group, total n=27, with n=16 healthy, but metabolic disorders) were compared patients diagnosed CVDs [CVD n=109, being n=61 hypertension (n=31 signs beginning myocardial remodeling) n=48 coronary artery disease (CAD)]. Results. concentration significantly higher group healthy (p<0.05 for all tested): valine 238.7 [219.6; 267.0] μM non-CVD 261.2 [233.8; 298.7] CVD group; 134.8 [122.4; 153.2] 146.8 [129.0; 166.6] μM, respectively; isoleucine 72.7 [65.3; 84.4] 81.7 [68.0; 96.2] respectively. Leucine levels minimal participant subgroup maximal IBS patient subgroup. No statistically significant differences concentrations found subgroups CAD. Significant increases observed CAD follows: 256.3 [219.0; 297.9] 261.7 [236.5; 307.5] 141.8 [123.5; 154.1 [134.7; 172.7] respectively, 72.8 [65.7; 94.0] 85.7 [74.9; 101.7] profiles participants disorders had “good” diagnostic accuracy area under receiver operating characteristics curve 0.72, 0.70 valine, isoleucine, Conclusion are elevated severity disorder exhibit early independent disease.

EVALUATION OF METABOLIC PROFILE OF PLASMA AMINO ACIDS IN DIABETIC PATIENTS WITH CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common endocrine diseases. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is one of the leading causes of death in patients with type 2 diabetes. The aim of this study was to investigate the metabolic profile of plasma amino acids in diabetic patients with cardiovascular disease. Methods: The present study is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study on 140 ...

Effects of squat exercise and branched-chain amino acid supplementation on plasma free amino acid concentrations in young women.

The present study was conducted to examine alterations in plasma free amino acid concentrations induced by squat exercise and branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) supplementation in young, untrained female subjects. In the morning on the exercise session day, participants ingested drinks containing either BCAA (isoleucine:leucine:valine=1:2.3:1.2) or dextrin (placebo) at 0.1 g/kg body weight 15 min...

Update on branched-chain amino acid supplementation in liver diseases.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) have a peculiar role in whole-body nitrogen metabolism. BCAAs are a substrate for protein synthesis, and have been used to conserve or restore muscle mass in advanced liver disease. In addition, the competitive action of BCAAs on amino acid transport across the blood-brain barrier may improve hepatic encephalopathy. RECENT FINDINGS The effe...
